About Agility Unleashed

ABOUT US

Since being established in 2016, Agility Unleashed has been growing and expanding, and quickly becoming known for an unparalleled commitment to participant growth in a fun learning environment. It’s this standard of excellence that has encouraged us to move to Vancouver Island, BC and establish our Dog Destination Event Center, Run A Muck Dog Sports, and expand our offerings, due to ever growing demand.

From the beginning Tina wanted to do something fun with her chihuahua Coco and her silky terrier cross Cashew.

After seeing Super Dogs many times as a child, Tina decided to give dog agility a try. It was fun and it didn't take long to get hooked. Once that happened she decided to get a dog better suited to agility so she adopted a papillon named Hazel. Tina continued to learn even more by taking seminars and practicing everyday at home. It didn’t take long for Tina and Hazel to become a very competitive team. Hazel is now retired and Tina is training a very special sheltie named Ivy.

Dan didn’t take long to join Tina and her love of this dog sport. As a world Champion barefoot water skier, agility suited Dan’s competitive nature but with the added bonus of working with his dogs. As anyone who has watched his journey from the beginning will confirm, Dan was a serious, dedicated student who gained much success early on. First with his Cattle Dog, Pepper and then with his Border Collie, Skylar. His newest Up & Coming stars are Border Collies, Reese & Sonic.

Dan and Tina enjoy the challenges of agility as it provides mental, physical and strategic teamwork to succeed. In the early days, they formed a practice group with like minded agility addicts called Anarchy Agility. From Anarchy, requests for private lessons came in and it was only a matter of time before Agility Unleashed was born.

Agility Unleashed is dedicated to providing safe learning environments for the handler and dog. This includes thoughtfully created and maintained footing that is good for all of the teams as well as top of the line equipment that is renowned for safety. Positive/force free training methods are used with a focus on foundation. Keeping the safety of the team in mind, Dan creates fun and challenging courses that his students love to run! Agility Unleashed teaches primarily out of Run A Muck Dog Sport Centre in Coombs, BC. Dan is also available to travel to teach seminars..
